Have you ever walked in the street with your mp3 player in your ears? Have you ever looked through the window while driving in countryside or along a beach when the music was playing?
I like walking in the street while listening to music. Everything seems to be more beautiful and pleasant. You look around and think "I feel be in a movie". You look at other people, and you smile. Because nothing else matters: you are in your own world. I like looking at the landscape with music in the car, and having this impression to be on vacation, even if you are only going to any place. Of course, that works only if the sun is shining. Otherwise that has not the same effect, if the sky is grey and the rain is pouring.
It depends also on what kind of music you are listening. You do not feel the same thing whether you are listening to a rock song, a romantic song, or a sad song. And it relies also on your feelings of the moment. Anyway, it is better to listen to a happy song when you are sad, than a sad song then becoming even more depressed. Because I do not like silence (and because I like dancing): music plays a major role in my life.
Some songs remind us good (or bad) moments in our lives. Because of their lyrics, or sometimes, just because they are attached to someone or something that has mattered. Whenever you hear this music, there is a click in your head and you start thinking. The song I have chosen to illustrate this post is related to someone I used to like so much, two years ago. And ironically this one is called "California"...
