Hi there!
Happy New Year!! (i can say that, we're still in January, right?!)
So... i'm now in this proficient composition class, and i have this super blog to create. It's kinda fun to go to school every Friday, just to be in front of a computer and to write about my life and thoughts, before going home for lunch and being on weekend, isn't it? So.. let's start?
My name's Flora, i'm from France, near Paris (i've lived in a city called Pontault-Combault, pronounced Ponto-Combo.. sounds like an African city's name). I was born in Paris, so YES, i speak French (please don't ask me this question, as all other people do..). I also speak Mandarin Chinese with my parents, but not so well, often need to mix it with French. My parents are Chinese, but they were born in Laos (no, i can not speak Laotian, only some food's names..). I have two younger brothers (24 and 22), no cat, no dog. I used to have two hamsters (Chaussette, and Icayouille). I'd like to have a dog. Someday! When i won't live with my parents anymore..
I'm enrolled in ALP because i need to improve my English (especially oral English). I want to be able to speak more fluently in order to find a job in a Management control department when i will go home. I'd like to find a job abroad, not in France, not yet (want to continue to travel!!). I've been here in SoCal for three and a half months now (since Oct 1, 2009). I live with my cousin (23) in a sweet house in Fullerton. I will go home in May, after my cousin's wedding (my cousin's sister). School ends in March for me, fortunately!! No more composition class! (haha, just kidding! or maybe not so..) ^^
Hmm... it's time to go home now (12:47pm). I'm hungry. I'll write about my super classmate later! See you.

Ok! We're still on Friday, and it's 8:40pm. Usually, young people like to hang out with friends on Friday evening. But because i'm SUCH a studious student (haha.. ha), i prefer to finish my homework (this wonderful blog..) instead of going out! HaHa! Ok.. actually it's because it's wet outside :P
Let's talk about my new super classmate Stella (i cheat, actually i've known her for three months now, but don't tell the teacher, he doesn't know that). Seung Hyun HAHM, also called Stella ("star"), comes from Korea (Seoul). She's a Fall09-second-entry student and also one of the first persons i talked with when i arrived at ALP. Her major is Economics. She plans to study English very hard to be able to speak this language fluently, go back to Korea, get her Bachelor degree, and find a job in a financial company (buying/selling, transaction, stock). She hopes to get married in six years (why six??). She likes to: Hang out with her boyfriend on weekends (hope he's the good one, thus "six" is achievable! haha); Eat (everything, she's not picky); Take pictures; Meet people; Travel (she would like to visit South of Africa). That's all. She's Stella, she's my friend, and i like her ^^
YEAAH! My first assignment is dooone! :)
